EDDIE Privacy Policy

Introduction

EDDIE is a four-year (starting January 2020) Erasmus+ European Union funded collaborative project creating a Sector Skill Alliance (SSA) to develop a long-driven strategy for the digitalisation of the European Energy sector. The Consortium is coordinated by COMILLAS and brings together 16 partners from 10 EU Countries.
The protection of your privacy when processing personal data is important to us. Therefore, we process your data in strict compliance with applicable European data protection law – Regulation (EU) 2016/679. In the following, we provide information about how we process personal data.
To this extent, please read this Privacy Policy document that explains the reason for processing your Personal Data, how we collect, handle and ensure the protection of all Personal Data provided, how that information is used and what rights you have in relation to your Personal Data.

DATA CONTROLLER

The institution responsible for data treatment is Universidad Pontificia Comillas, with Fiscal Code, R2800395B, and whose address for all purposes of notification is Calle Alberto Aguilera, 23, 28015 Madrid, Spain.

LAWFUL OF PROCESSING

The legal basis of the treatment is your consent in the terms established in Regulation (EU) 2016/679.
Your Personal Data will not be used for any automated decision-making including profiling.

THE PURPOSES OF THE PROCESSING

The data subject has given consent to processing his or her personal data for becoming part of a Sector Skills Alliance for the digitalisation of the European Energy sector. The strategy seeks to match the training supply (VET, University and long-life learning) with the current and future demand of skills necessary for the digitalisation of the Energy sector.
Personal data include first name, last name, email address, or any other data that is relevant and limited to what is necessary concerning the purposes for which it is processed –the EDDIE project context- in accordance to the principle of data minimisation. NEWSLETTERS and other services

Any service will require an explicit subscription by the user. As an example of such services, EDDIE may send out newsletters on a regular basis, to inform about project progress and results, upcoming conferences, meetings, events, publications, training opportunities, etc. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter –or any other service subscribed in the future- via email to info@eddie-erasmus.eu, or by the url: www.eddie-erasmus.eu/newsletter-eddie/delete-your-subscription/ at any time.

PERIOD OF STORAGE AND ERASURE OF DATA

Personal data are stored for as long as necessary to fulfil the purpose of the Project and as long as it is legally necessary. Personal data will be destroyed when no longer necessary for that purpose.

SECURITY MEASURES

All processing is carried out in compliance with article 32 of the GDPR, with the adoption of appropriate security measures. Technical measures include appropriate actions to address online security, risk of data loss, alteration of data or unauthorised access, taking into consideration the risk of the processing and of the nature of the Personal Data. Organisational measures include restricting access to the Personal Data solely to authorised persons or third parties where legitimated by the Data Controller for the purposes of processing operation.

RIGHTS

In compliance with the provisions of Regulation (EU) 2016/679, we inform you that you have the right to access, rectify and delete data, limit its treatment, oppose treatment and exercise your right to the portability of personal data, all free of charge, by notifying, in writing or by email to prodatos@comillas.edu and info@eddie-erasmus.eu Please include the “EDDIE” keyword in the subject

  • The right to be informed. You have the right to be provided with clear, transparent, and easily understandable information about how we use your information and your rights. Therefore, we are providing you with the information in this Privacy Policy.
  • The right of access. You have the right to obtain access to your Personal Data subject matter of the data processing. This will enable you, for example, to check that we are using your Personal Data in accordance with the relevant data protection law. If you wish to access the information, we hold about you in this way, please get in touch (please see section Contact information here below).
  • The right to rectification. You are entitled to have your Personal Data corrected if it is inaccurate or incomplete. You can request that we rectify any errors in information that we hold by contacting us (please see section Contact information here below).
  • The right to erasure. This is also known as ‘the right to be forgotten’ and, in simple terms, enables you to request the deletion or removal of certain of the Personal Data that we hold about you by contacting us (please see section Contact information here below). Please remember that it is possible that pursuant any applicable law you may not have all your Personal Data erased.
  • The right to restrict processing. You have rights to ‘block’ or ‘suppress’ certain further use of your Personal Data. When processing is restricted, we can still store your Personal Data, but will not use it further.
  • The right to data portability. You have the right to obtain your personal information in an accessible and transferrable format so that you can re-use it for your own purposes across different service providers.   • The right to withdraw consent. The data subject shall have the right to withdraw his or her consent at any time. The withdrawal of consent shall not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.
  • The right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in the event that you consider that your request has not been attended to or that the applicable regulations on the Protection of Personal Data have been violated.
In order to meet your request, it is an essential requirement that you previously or simultaneously prove your identity by sending a copy of your National Identity Document (“DNI”, in Spain), “NIE” (Identity Number of Foreign Resident in Spain Passport or equivalent document.
