Introduction and Objectives

The objective of the event is to identify and assess skills gaps, needs, high-impact policies and regulations in the Energy Sector, for energy transition through digitalization. The focus of the ”EDDIE Final Event and LSP on the Digitalisation of the Energy System” will highlight some of the most significant skills gap, the necessary curricula changes, and the most appropriate regulatory and policy measures required for the adaptation of technologies in the emerging digital era of the energy sector. Furthermore, another objective of the session was to pave the way towards building a large-scale partnership under the Pact for Skills taking benefit from the Sectorial Skills Strategy that will be developed by EDDIE project.

Large-Scale Partnership on the Digitalisation of the Energy System

With the support of the European Commission, stakeholders from the energy industry have established a Large-scale Skills Partnership (LSP) under the EU Pact for Skills initiative, to boost skills development in the energy sector across Europe.

Energynomics is the most complex editorial project dedicated exclusively to the energy industry in Romania. It comprises the website, the printed Magazine and the extended line of concept-events.
The EDucation for DIgitalization of the Energy Project organized its final event – ”EDDIE Final Event and LSP on the Digitalisation of the Energy System” – after almost four years of constant activity of the European Consortium which implemented the project.
The European Commission has officially declared 2023 as the European year of skills (upskilling and reskilling). In this context, the Large-scale Skills Partnership (LSP) was created on December 14 as part of the EU Pact for Skills initiative, to support the development of digital skills in the Energy Sector in Europe.
